SAFETY POLICY

Safety is one of our primary concerns.  
It is the policy of Payne Transportation LP and their affiliated companies to promote and provide a safe working environment for all of their employees. It is also the policy of this company to comply with all Federal and Provincial statutes which are applicable to our operation.
 
It is the personal responsibility of each Manager to ensure:

1.     Safety is a priority.
2.     Safe work procedures are developed and followed.
3.     Equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard.
4.     A high standard of housekeeping is maintained.
 
It is the personal responsibility of each supervisor to ensure that employees under their direction have received adequate training in proper work procedures so that maximum productivity may be achieved without accidents. It is the further responsibility of each supervisor to ensure that all proper work procedures are followed and all regulations are enforced.

Responsibility for safety must be accepted by everyone who has a part in the affairs of the company, no matter in what capacity he or she may function.

PRIVACY POLICY

THE PAYNE TRANSPORTATION PRIVACY PROTECTION PLEDGE

At Payne Transportation LP, we respect your privacy. That is why we have developed The Payne Transportation LP Privacy Code of which the objective is to specify Payne Transportation LP’s guidelines for the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information.
The Payne Transportation LP Privacy Code was developed to comply with the relevant portions of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada). We have drafted The Payne Transportation LP Privacy Code to facilitate our compliance with this new legislation and to demonstrate our commitment to protecting your personal information.
We have also developed The Payne Transportation LP Privacy Protection Pledge. We want you to understand the purposes for which we collect personal information. We also want to make certain that we have your consent to continue to collect, use and disclose your personal information for those purposes.
The following is a brief synopsis of our privacy practices:
Why do we need to collect your personal information?
If you are a Payne Transportation LP customer, Payne Transportation LP may have collected some basic information about you. We respect your privacy, which is why we collect personal information only for the following purposes:
• For Accounts Payables & Receivables purposes relating to regular business activities.
• To verify identity when applying for employment.
• To conduct credit checks prior to conducting business with a new customer.
• Per government regulations relating to income tax and workers compensation.
When do we disclose personal information?
There is a variety of circumstances where we may need to disclose some personal information about our customers. Here are some examples:
• For third parties conducting a credit check
• For collection agencies acting on Payne Transportation LP’s behalf in order to collect an outstanding debt.
• For dispatch and load tendering activities relating to regular business activities.
• For 3rd parties conducting drug and alcohol testing on our behalf as per US DOT regulations.
• 3rd parties who require the information to fulfill payroll and group insurance requirements.
• In regards to our FAST application to the US and Canadian governments.
How do we protect your personal information?
In order to protect your personal information, Payne Transportation LP:
1. will not collect, use or disclose your personal information for any purpose other than those identified above, except with your further consent;
2. will protect your personal information with appropriate security safeguards;
3. will protect the confidentiality of your personal information when dealing with other organizations;
4. will strive to keep your personal information as accurate and up to date as is necessary for the purposes identified above; and
5. will honour any request you may make for access to your personal information.
What are your choices?
We would like to have your consent to continue to collect, use and disclose your personal information for the purposes identified above. However, you do have choices and can refuse or withdraw your consent as follows:
1. You may refuse to provide your personal information to us.
2. You may also withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.
However, in either case, this may limit our ability to serve you.
