Update: Payne Transportation Ltd. awarded the GPSA again.
We are pleased to announce that Payne Transportation Ltd has been awarded The Mullen Group Grand Prize Safety Award for 2022.
Annually, each of The Mullen Group business units are requested to provide details on how they are improving their Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems (HSEMS) and overall safety performance.
The Grand Prize Safety Award process includes the submission of a formal application that is followed up with a comprehensive audit which includes our HSEMS but also, leadership commitment, personnel selection, certification and training, risk management, regulatory compliance, environmental code of practice and continuous improvement.
2022 was a banner year for Payne Transportation. Our commitment towards nurturing a world class safety culture has been embedded in every employee and has produced continuous improvement. This recognition was truly a group effort with participation and buy-in from our entire team. A special thank you to Andrea McNicholl, Director of Safety & Compliance for taking the lead in the audit process!

Payne Transportation Ltd. awarded the Mullen Group 2012 Grand Prize Safety Award (GPSA). Since 1997, Mullen has undertaken an annual audit of the Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems (HSEMS) of all its business units to determine the winner of the (GPSA).
Every year each of the Mullen Group business units are requested to provide details of how they are improving their HSEMS and overall safety performance. The GPSA process includes the submission of a formal application which is followed up with a comprehensive audit of 10 specific areas of their HSEMS including, among other things: leadership commitment, personnel selection, certification, and training; risk management; regulatory compliance; environmental code of practice and continuous improvement.
On March 7th, 2013, in Okotoks, AB, senior management of The Mullen Group awarded The 2012 Grand Prize Safety Award to Payne Transportation Ltd.
