Payne Transportation Inc. receives CSA/FAST approval
June 30th, 2004
Payne Transportation Inc. is pleased to announce that we have now become a FAST approved carrier for US freight destined for Canada. We received our PIP (Partnership in Protection) certification in April of this year, and have now qualified for the CSA (Customs Self Assessment) portion of FAST.
By joining this program, we have taken the necessary steps to ensure our business practices are accurate and up to Canada Border Services Agency specifications. By doing this, we are now able to haul freight for CSA approved customers. These are customers who have also taken the necessary steps to ensure they have accurate business practices and are thus able to report directly to CBSA what they are importing into the country rather than going through a customs broker. The advantage to this system is expedited clearances at the border, less inspections, not having freight delayed for incomplete paperwork, and using their own business systems rather than adapting to someone else’s.
We look forward to working with our CSA approved customers and invite those who are not yet approved to find out how they can benefit from this program.
