We're Going Green!

Payne Transportation LP recognizes that it is inherent to the trucking
industry that we have an unavoidable impact on the environment throught
the movement of equipment, shop activities, and office operation.
However, our company is taking steps to decrease our environmental
"footprint" and reduce costs.

Some of the activities that we have or are in the process of undertaking
include:
- Participation in the US EPA's Smartway program
- Participation in the Natural Resources Canada FleetSmart
program
- Implementation of a fuel effeciency reward program for our
drivers
- Increased awareness and training for all employees
- Increased recycling program
- Implementation of new, greener technologies when feasible

During the first year of implementation, we have been able to increase
our fuel mileage by 2.7% and reduce C02 emissions by 839,000KG ,
while also reduce our fuel costs by over $400,000.

Our goal for 2009 is another 3% increase in fuel mileage. And we fully
believe we'll meet and exceed this goal.



On March 11, 2009, PayneTransportation L.P. was accepted as a
U.S. EPA SmartWay Transport partner. (click here for full news release)
